Parking and Accessibility at Sheridan Optometric Centre

Sheridan Exterior BlogPlanning a visit to Sheridan Optometric Centre? Here’s everything you need to know about getting here, parking, and accessibility at our new location.

Our New Location in Mississauga

Sheridan Optometric Centre is moving to a new location in Mississauga, ON this spring, offering a more accessible and convenient space for our patients. As we transition, we want to ensure that every visitor can easily access our clinic—whether by car, public transit, or with mobility assistance.

Our new clinic will be at street level, making it more accessible for patients with mobility challenges. We understand the importance of providing a comfortable and welcoming experience for everyone, and we are working to accommodate all accessibility needs.

Parking: Where to Park & What to Expect

Parking at the new location will be free but shared with other tenants in the building. While there is designated parking for patients, spaces may be limited at peak times. If you’re driving, we recommend arriving a little earlier for your appointment to allow time to find a spot.

Public Transit Options

For those using public transportation, the clinic will be conveniently located near a bus stop, making it accessible to patients who rely on Mississauga’s transit system. However, at this time, there is no nearby train station, so patients traveling from outside the city may need to use a combination of transit options to reach us.

Accessibility for Patients with Mobility Needs

At Sheridan Optometric Centre, we are committed to making our clinic accessible to all patients. Our new location is designed with accessibility in mind, but there are still a few details we want our patients to be aware of.

  • Wheelchair Access: A permanent wheelchair-accessible ramp is in the works, ensuring that patients with mobility challenges can enter the clinic with ease. In the meantime, we may use a portable ramp as needed, so please let us know in advance if you require assistance.
  • Automatic Doors: While we are working toward installing an accessible door button, it may not be available immediately upon opening. Our staff is always ready to assist anyone who needs help entering the clinic.
  • Seating & Waiting Areas: The clinic will feature spacious seating areas to accommodate patients who need extra comfort while waiting for their appointment.
